Preparation

Confirm the Setup Order Before You Start

The full process begins in the user panel, not with searching for an installer. Create an account and choose a plan first. Once the payment status is updated, your available subscription information will appear in Account Overview. Then open the client download section from the panel and get the client for your current system. This avoids installing a client before you have anything to import and keeps the client source aligned with your account status.

Before you begin, confirm which operating system you are using and prepare a safe place to store your username and password. Windows and macOS use desktop clients, while Android and iOS use mobile clients. Button locations vary, but the import logic is the same: get the subscription link, add the remote subscription, update the route list, and connect to a route. Linux downloads are also available from the user panel; this page focuses on the more common platforms. For system-wide configuration, routing rules, or command-line troubleshooting, continue with the troubleshooting documentation.

Account

Create a Username and Password

Open the free trial option to enter the account creation view in the user panel. Follow the form prompts to set a username and password, review the details, and submit them. 5TVPN does not require an email address, so there is no email confirmation to wait for. Once the account is created, enter the panel with the username and password you just set. The username identifies your account, while the password is used for future logins. We recommend storing both in a trusted password manager.

After entering the panel, first check that Account Overview appears normally. If the page remains on the login view, sign in again with the same credentials instead of creating another account. If you forget your username or cannot confirm the account status, do not place an order yet. Open the support ticket area from the user panel and describe the page you see and the message displayed. Once the account is ready, choose the data option that fits your needs in the Plans section.

Plans

Choose a Monthly Subscription or Data Package

Open the Plans section in the user panel and first consider how you use the service. A monthly subscription suits ongoing use, with its included data resetting monthly from the activation date. A data package is deducted as you use it, remains available until consumed, and never expires. Before choosing, review the price, included data, and rules shown on the card rather than comparing data amounts alone. If you mainly browse the web, use productivity tools, and sync messages, your consumption will usually differ from extended HD video streaming, so leave enough capacity for your actual needs.

After choosing a plan, review the order details and confirm the plan name and amount. Then select an available payment method: Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. After payment, return to the panel and wait for the order status to update. Do not submit the same order repeatedly while the status is still pending. If the result does not appear immediately, refresh Account Overview and check the order history. All plans support unlimited devices, so you do not need a separate order for each device. All plans include a 14-day no-questions-asked refund policy; see the Terms of Service for the applicable rules.

When you upgrade a plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. If you only need the service for a limited period, compare monthly subscriptions and data packages on the full Plans page. Once the order status is active, open Account Overview to get your subscription link.

Subscription

Get the Subscription Link from Account Overview

Once the order status is active, open Account Overview in the user panel. Find the option to copy the subscription link in the subscription details and click it to place the link on your system clipboard. The link lets the client retrieve the available routes and future updates, so it is an account credential and should not be shared in public documents, chat groups, or screenshots. To use it on another device, send it through a trusted direct channel and clear any temporary copies after importing it.

A subscription link is usually a long URL. If you need to recognize its format, treat the content below as a visual example only. It is an explicit dummy value, cannot connect, and is not linked to any real account:

https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN

After copying, do not manually delete, add, or replace any characters, and do not paste the subscription address into a browser search box by mistake. Open the client’s subscription management screen and import the complete link as a remote subscription. If the copy button does not respond, check whether the browser allows clipboard access. If you still cannot retrieve it, use the display and copy options provided in the panel, or visit the Help Center for subscription update issues.

Client

Import the Subscription on Your Platform

The client and the subscription are separate components: the client reads and applies the configuration, while the subscription link provides the routes currently available to your account. Sign in to the user panel first and get the client for your system from the download section. Do not look for a static installer link on this page. This page does not provide direct package downloads; the panel shows the correct entry based on your login status. After installing the client, follow the import steps for your platform below.

Windows

Install and launch the Windows client obtained from the user panel. Open the subscription or configuration management page and choose an option such as “Import from URL.” Paste the complete subscription link into the address field. Confirm and update it, then wait for route names to appear in the list. If you see only an empty configuration, return to subscription management, run a manual update, and check that the link is complete.

macOS

Open the macOS client provided in the panel, then open the configuration, subscription, or remote configuration page from the menu bar or main window. Create a remote subscription, paste in the address copied from Account Overview, and give it an easy-to-recognize name. Save it and update the configuration. When the system creates a network connection for the first time, it may request permission; approve it as prompted, then return to the client and choose a route.

Android

Get the Android client from the user panel and complete the installation. Open the subscription or configuration page, tap Add, and choose “Import from Link” or an equivalent option. Paste the subscription address, save it, and refresh the route list. The first connection may trigger a system request for network access; confirm it, return to the client, select the target region, and connect. If the system restricts background activity, check the relevant Help Center settings only if you experience disconnections.

iOS

Open the iOS client download entry from the user panel, then find the option to add a subscription, configuration, or item from the clipboard. Paste the subscription link and download it. Once the route list appears, choose a route. On the first connection, iOS will ask to add a network configuration; confirm it as prompted. If the client says it cannot recognize the subscription format, return to the panel and copy the complete link again instead of editing it manually.

On every platform, the import is complete when selectable regions or route names appear in the client. Do not repeatedly import the same link, as this can create duplicate configurations. Keep one valid subscription and use the client’s update function. When switching devices, repeat “get the client — add the subscription — update the routes” on the new device; you do not need a separate account for each device.

Verification

Connect and Verify That Cross-Border Acceleration Is Active

Once the route list is updated, choose a route based on the region where the target service is located. For region-specific content, the exit region should match the service’s requirements. For everyday browsing, start with a nearby route that connects reliably. Select the route and connect, then wait for the client status to change from disconnected to connected before testing. Switching between several routes immediately after connecting can mix configuration issues with route differences, so test one route at a time.

First open this site’s IP checker and confirm that the displayed exit region matches the route you selected. Then visit the website or app you actually need and check that it loads, your account opens normally, and the content region is as expected. A client showing “Connected” alone does not prove that the target service is using the current route. Complete both the exit-region check and the real-world access test to confirm the configuration works.

If the exit region has not changed, first check whether the client has enabled the system proxy or the appropriate connection mode. Then confirm that the selected route is the one just imported from the subscription. If the browser works but one app does not, the cause is often app routing, cached data, or network permissions. These topics are beyond this quick-start flow; read app routing troubleshooting directly. After verification, everyday use only requires opening the client, updating the subscription, choosing a route, and connecting.

Exit Region Matches

The IP check result matches the region selected in the client.

Target Service Is Accessible

The website or app loads as expected.

Troubleshooting

Start with What You Observe

For common setup issues, first identify where they occur: if you cannot access your account, check the registration and login help; if the plan status has not updated after payment, check the order history; if the client has no routes, copy the subscription again and update it; if the client says it is connected but webpages do not open, check the system proxy, exit region, and DNS; if only one app is affected, review the app routing guide. Identifying the step where the issue occurs is more effective than repeatedly switching clients or creating new configurations.

The Help Center is useful for quickly finding answers about accounts, subscriptions, connections, and payments. Troubleshooting provides structured diagnostic steps for complete connection failures, connected-but-unreachable webpages, slow speeds, frequent disconnections, failed subscription updates, and mobile clients disconnecting in the background. Before submitting a ticket, prepare your system type, the message shown in the client, the selected route region, when the issue occurred, and the steps you have tried. Do not share the complete subscription link or password publicly.
